the Console utility, or click on Test from the Web Browser interface:

STEP 3

Examine the results of the test. There are three possible responses:

1. The cable is not wired correctly or has a short.

2. Straight-through cable

3. Cross-over cable

STEP 4

Exit Cable-test mode.
