Secure VPN Routing for

Remote Access

The EDR-G903’s IPSec/L2TP VPN function

creates secure, encrypted tunnels to

enable secure remote access between

industrial networks and remote locations.

IPSec provides a secure tunnel between

different LANs, such as the headquarters

and remote sites. L2TP provides secure

communications between a roaming user

and critical devices on the automation

network such as PLCs, RTUs and DCS, to

enable remote maintenance.

Dual WAN for Reliable

Connection Redundancy

To ensure round-the-clock operation of

critical network systems, the EDR-G903

supports up to two internet ports: both a

primary and a backup connection. When

the user-congurable WAN port is enabled

and the primary WAN port link fails, the

EDR-G903 will immediately activate the

second WAN port to keep the connection

active. The dual WAN interface provides

reliable redundant connectivity between

central and eld sites.

Innovative Easy-to-use

Firewall Functionality

The EDR-G903 supports many smart

rewall functions: PolicyCheck for

debugging, SettingCheck for verifying

rewall rules, and Quick Automation

Prole for enabling common Fieldbus

protocols such as EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP,

FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus/TCP,

and PROFINET. The user-friendly

web-based UI gives you complete
